Our Core Beliefs

Changing lives. Restoring Hope. Building Faith. Sharing the story.

New Life at Park Street began over 10 years ago with a handful of faithful believers who remained from the original church that started on McDuff Ave over 50 years ago. After the cultural changes of a generation, the church saw a vision for a place where people would see God's love in such a way that they would want to exchange ordinary living for an extraordinary life through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

What Doctrinal Beliefs do you practice?

God is the Creator, eternal and perfect, and the Ruler of all existence. He exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. Please refer to these verses: Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2; Corinthians 13:14 NIV

What are the church's views on Salvation?

Salvation is a free gift from God to us. We could never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works; only by trusting in Jesus Christ by faith as God’s offer of forgiveness can we be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life is ours through faith and faith alone! Please refer to these verses: Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8, 9; John 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1

What are the church's views on the Bible?

The Bible is God’s word to us. It was written by human authors, but under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth and direction for living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the foundation for all truth.

What are the church's views on Baptism?

Baptism by immersion symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and is our public declaration that we have accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Savior. Baptism does not save us, but is our testimony to the world that we have already been saved. And while baptism is not required for salvation, it is a biblical command and demonstrates our love and obedience to Christ. Please refer to these verses: Colossians 2:12; Acts 2:41; Ephesians 2: 8-9; Matthew 28:19-20 NIV
